People live within a meter or two of the earth. When seen from space, the surface of the earth is the bottom of the cosmos.
When you stand next to this work and gaze up into the sky, you see the earth reflected across its base, and when you look down it from above, you see the sky and the infinity of the universe.
The stainless steel chain connecting heaven and earth, the ground and the sky, soaring 7.5 meters tall, celebrates the 75th anniversary of OSG. The monument is a mirror, encompassing the earth and the cosmos surrounding it, and society itself. A person standing here, moved by its power, will complete the concept and set free expression.
