The mouth of the fountain is shaped after Lake Biwa, and the shape of the pond is shaped after the Kinki region. The idea is that the water from Lake Biwa brings moisture and enriches the Kinki region.

12 stone sculptures of various shapes made of white granite, are placed around the pond,
depicting the progress of life –
anguish, solitude, birth, as if a yoga practitioner was looking at the world upside down,
stretching, praying, staring at death itself…

When I was still wandering across the world, I saw a practitioner in India who stood on his head for days.

The philosophy of form
(Photo 8, 9)

The point of constructing the man-made beach at Lake Biwa was to provide a more natural character to the artificial stone shore than had been created.
Standing at the scene, I glanced upon Mt. Hiei and finally understood. I shaped the space of the ground between the stone and the shore after the shape of Mt. Hiei, replacing the solid over there to the flat here.
Placing the chain on the ground and welding it down, the distorted form of the earth stands out from the flat plane and passes through the space.
It is through this change in perspective from the viewpoint of the solid to the plane and vice versa that the meaning of the self can be gleaned from nature.

The important thing when making an artificial sand beach is choosing which sand to be used.
For mountain sand, the temperature rises too much in the summer, rendering it too hot to walk on. For sand made of white shells like Okinawa, it is costly and gets blown off easily with the wind. Here, we utilized sand for kaolin ceramics in Seto. It can not be done without considering specific gravity, appearance, cost, temperature, comfort, all. 350 meters.
